The Tonquin Valley is a very beautiful place, this morning in late August was clear and cool. The sunrise was lighting up the Ramparts, and everywhere the sun hadn’t yet touched was still under a light layer of frost. This hike exceeded my expectations, the beauty and wide openness of the valley took my breath away everywhere I looked. I hope to go back some day, but until then I can imagine being there every time I look at this painting.
