This painting was inspired by a walk towards Schooner Cove at the North end of Long Beach near Tofino on Vancouver Island. 
The reference photo that was used to make this painting was taken looking back towards the expanse of the Pacific Rim shoreline with the mountains peeking up behind through the scattering clouds of a spring rainstorm.
