This painting was inspired by Sombrio Beach, one of my favourite places to visit on the west coast of Vancouver Island. If you have been there you probably recognize this spot. On a hot sunny day the waterfall canyon at Sombrio East is always a cool place to be! It casts a magical spell on me as soon as I enter, and transports me out of this world.
