There are some places I find myself painting again and again. Sometimes it’s because I have visited them many times and in different seasons, sometimes because I was lucky to witness an exceptional moment and one painting just isn’t enough. This is a place where both of those things are true. This painting was inspired by a sunrise at Mackenzie Beach, located on the west side of Vancouver Island near Tofino.
