Lake O'Hara is a very special place in the Canadian Rockies. Accessable only by bus or walking, and a very limited number of campsites and cabins it is never overwhelmed with people. The inspiration for this painting came from an early September slight snowfall in the mountains. The mood is cool and the clouds are rolling across the mountains, while the cabins are welcoming and cozy. It's the perfect Canadian scene.
