Floe Lake with Floe Peak rising 1000m sheer above it is a stunning location! This wonderful place has been in my head since that magical morning in August 2019. I spent at least an hour all alone with the lake while the other hikers were still asleep in their tents. It had been raining, and the top of the mountain was cloaked in mist, the lake was an impossibly deep blue and perfectly still. Then the clouds broke as the sun came up and gifted me with this beautiful moment in between rain and sun that feels somehow like both.
