Day two on the Tonquin Valley trail started out with this view. Surprise Point is a small campsite with only 6 tent pads. Nestled under the Ramparts at the southeast end of Amethyst Lake, it offers a unique view of the mountains, and the most scenic toilet in the valley! This was the place I stood while collecting water for our breakfast that day. Don’t go anywhere without your camera you never know what magical views you will find
